At KDI our diverse team is what sets us apart from other training providers. In addition, all instructors are currently operational in their area of instruction. This allows us to bring you the most current information from an international perspective.
TRAINING COURSES
2023 has proven to be a landmark year for our training programs at KDI, specifically our Executive Protection courses. We now have active training programs in South Carolina, Texas and Arizona.
What makes our basic Executive Protection program so unique is that our students receive 80-hours of 100% scenario based immersion training over a period of seven days. This makes for some long hours, but a very fulfilling educational experience. Upon the successful completion of this course, each student is able to bring this knowledge back to their respective departments and serve on a protection detail.

What makes our basic course so unique is that it's 100% scenario based, is driven by current intelligence and escalates in intensity throughout the week with the use of an actual OPFOR. This course ends with a 12-hour field training exercise conducted in both urban and rural areas. As we say, the only thing we simulate in this course are the bullets.
We offer this course at three levels:
7 DAY BASIC EP COURSE
This is a generalist course that prepares a student, upon successful completion of this course, to integrate into their organization's existing protection team. Tuition for 2020 is $850.00

5 DAY INTERMEDIATE EP COURSE
This program focuses completely on tactics utilized in executive protection and includes several hours of live-fire range time. Tuition for 2020 is $750.00
4 DAY ADVANCED EP COURSE
Designed for team leaders and team managers, this program focuses on the administrative, logistics and law & legal aspects of operating a protection team. Tuition for 2020 is $500.00
SWAT/SRT COURSE
This has been a very popular course we have instructed over the past five years throughout the Southeast. This special tactics course can be instructed in multiple day increments (3, 5, 7) and can be presented at the basic, intermediate or advanced level.
As course developers, we are able to design a custom program of instruction based upon the specific needs of your team.
The lead instructor for this course is our training director Donald Belin.
TACTICAL EMERGENCY CASUALTY CARE (TECC)
This training course is based upon the guidelines established by the Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (www.c-tecc.org).
The lead instructor for this course is our team medical officer Tony Connot (PA-C).
This program can be offered in 4, 8, 12 or 16 hour increments, based upon the needs of your team.
From the Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care website, "The applications of the TECC guidelines for civilian Fire/EMS medical operations are far reaching, beyond just the traditional application in tactical and law enforcement operations. The medical response to almost any civilian scenario involving high risk to responders, austere environments, or typical hazards will benefit from the guidelines, including active shooter response, CBRNE and terrorism related events, mass casualty, wilderness/austere scenarios, technical rescue events and even traditional trauma response."
